I've been to this location many times over the years, but took my son for a quick ice cream treat over the weekend and thought to leave a review. The staff are always super friendly here and great help with questions! There is always a line - even in the winter (but it moves quick), so that tells you how tasty the ice cream is!

I love Handel’s Ice Cream. They are always so nice. It can get busy with a wait during peak times but they do their best to serve you quickly and efficiently. My favorite is their banana splits. My dog loves the dogster. Great ice cream shop with outside seating and a service window.

My first time coming to handels and the employee Serena was amazing help! She knew all the questions I had, I asked her what’s in like 10 different flavors and she knew them all and gave great suggestions when I said stuff I kinda liked. Very helpful when you have staff there that actually want to be there it makes the experience better for both the business and customers!! Will definitely be coming back 😁

Let’s talk about the good first. Their ice cream. It’s top notch. Thick, creamy, bursting with flavor. Of the dozens of flavors I’ve tried over the years, they’ve almost all been a hit. I think the “key lime pie” was the only one I’ve ever had that I didn’t immensely enjoy (and key lime is very subjective, so while it wasn’t *my* jam, you might love it). Their prices, are a little on the higher side sure. But for the quality, I can’t complain. I also love getting the “Dogsters” for my two pups at home. Now, let’s get into the thing that drives me up a wall pretty consistently. THE WAIT TIMES. This particular location is basically across the street from a large, complex system of baseball/soccer/football/pickleball/tennis courts. In the warmer months, there are hundreds of kids, and families at the park playing in various games and leagues. This isn’t like a one-off situation. You would think that Handel’s would understand that fact, and staff accordingly. They do not. Just last night, I was driving home around 8:10pm and had a sweet tooth. Perfect chance to pick up a couple pints. I get there, and there must have been at least 20 people in line. Cool. You’re tasty and popular.

The most criminally under- staffed, inefficient business operation I’ve ever seen. For 2+ years now, they have failed to staff properly. And if they can’t find staff I understand, but where is the manager ? Where is the owner? Why are they not on the front lines helping doing whatever is needed . 30+ minutes EVERY single time we come here. When there are 30 people in line and the person taking the orders is the same person running back to the cooler to scoop ice cream, is the same person who is making the milkshakes, is the same person going into the back for supplies….. it’s no wonder you cannot get through the line in a reasonable amount of time. I love the ice cream, but I can’t even count the number of times we planned to stop there, saw the line and said absolutely not! The actual product is great, the operation is appallingly neglected. I see countless reviews stating the exact same complaint and clearly they’re unwilling to do anything about it. Meanwhile, these teenagers look absolutely miserable, having to deal with these crowds and workload on their own.
